Winter weather advisory
With february coming fast, we have to prepare for “the coldest month yet” So let’s pretend the weathermen will be right about this and prepare our body, skin and hair for this horrific cold!!
First things first.... WATER! Drink as much water as possible. This will help hydrate your body and prevent dry skin. Water is also just very important for many other reasons also. You can also seal moisture into your home by buying a humidifier or taking a hot shower and letting the steam flow through your home. Dry air can cause dehydration without even knowing.
So after we get all hydrated, you want to keep that hydration in. For your skin, use a hydrating body lotion and let it soak into your skin. This will help prevent any cracking. I love the St. Ives Hydrating Vitamin E &Avocodo body lotion. This product helps your skin glow and feel silky smooth.
For your facial skin care.... Use hydrating face masks once a week! Also use a hydrating moisturizer. My favorites right now are Neutrogena Hydro Boost face mask and their Hydro Boost Gel Face Moisturizer. Both of these products create glowing and hydrating skin!
And lastly, HAIR!!! Your hair needs to be hydrated the most. The dry winter air can cause damage and extra dryness to your hair so you have to be nice to it. I love using Moroccan Oil Hydrating Mask. This adds moisture and hydration to your hair. This product is free of proteins so it is safe to use much more then just a typical deep conditioner.
So basically, Moral of the story..... Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!!! Water will be your best friend this winter — Extremely cold temps ahead of us, Stay warm!!
Until Next time.
