Chocolate, The Bad & The Good
I can never say no to a little chocolate snack every once in awhile... And it’s definitely not a bad thing. Now milk chocolate is delicious... but it doesn’t act so nicely to your body after it is consumed.
Milk chocolate has extra dairy and sugar added which can create acne. Milk chocolate can also stir up migraines. Now of course just having one piece here and there won’t give you immediate affects of acne and migraines, but eating it more frequently can create some unwanted affects.
Lets talk Dark Chocolate.... in my mind, this is definitely not as yummy as milk chocolate, but the health benefits make dark chocolate so worth it!
Dark Chocolate is full of antioxidants, and a high cocoa content which is extremely nutritious. It possible that dark chocolate can help lower blood pressure and improve blood flow. Also, The flavonals in dark chocolate can help protect against sun damage, as well as increase skin density and hydration.
There have been some observational studies towards some of these facts, but because they were only observational, they cannot fully prove some of these facts.
Dark chocolate can leave a healthy mark on your life. Milk chocolate is also just a great snack to enjoy every once in a while. Choose dark chocolate with 70% or higher cocoa content to help receive the best benefits of the chocolate.
